PR and marketing

Jimmy is the reason people stop walking.

Jimmy is New Era AI’s Unitree R1 Air marketing robot. He appears at events and in the boardroom as a physical argument that this work is real. He is not a customer-facing call handler and we are not a robot reseller.

Meet Jimmy

Proof that we build things, not just decks.

  1. Unitree R1 Air

A production humanoid robot, owned and operated by New Era AI. Not a concept render and not a product we resell.

  2. R1 Assistant, on device

The short exchanges run on the robot rather than round-tripping to a data centre: a deliberate choice for rooms with unreliable wifi.

  3. What he is for

Trade stands, school and college visits, boardroom demonstrations. He is the reason people stop walking.

Jimmy is a Unitree R1 Air. He belongs to New Era Ai Ltd, he travels in the back of a car to trade stands and school visits, and he is the single most effective piece of marketing this company has.

That is not a claim about robotics. It is a claim about attention. People who will not read a case study about CRM integration will cross a hall to look at a humanoid robot, and once they are standing there the conversation is about what their business actually loses on a Tuesday afternoon.

He runs an R1 Assistant local LLM brain, which means the short exchanges happen on the robot rather than round-tripping to a data centre. That is a deliberate choice for a device that operates in rooms with bad wifi.

  • What he is

A Unitree R1 Air with an R1 Assistant local LLM brain, operated by us. He walks, gestures, reacts and holds a short exchange in a noisy room.

  • What he does

Trade stands, school and college visits, boardroom demonstrations, and the occasional bit of social content. He is the reason people stop walking.

  • What he is not

Not a product we sell. Not a call handler. Not a claim that your business needs a humanoid robot. Almost none do.

  • Why we bought him

Because a consultancy that talks about physical automation and has never operated any is easy to ignore, and because he is genuinely useful at getting a room interested.

Out and about

Trade stands, classrooms and boardrooms.

Questions

Jimmy, answered.

What is Jimmy?

A Unitree R1 Air humanoid robot owned and operated by New Era AI Ltd. He is our marketing presence at events and demonstrations, with an R1 Assistant local LLM brain.

Can Jimmy answer our phones?

No. Jimmy is a physical marketing presence, not a call handler. Echo One is the platform for spoken customer conversations.

Do you sell Unitree robots?

No. We are not a Unitree reseller or a general robot storefront. Jimmy is our own robot, used for our own marketing.

Can Jimmy come to our event?

Sometimes, depending on the event, the date and the travel. Ask, and we will tell you straight whether it makes sense.

What is the point of him?

Attention, and a conversation starter that is honest about what the company does. People who will not read a case study will walk across a room to look at a robot, and that is where the useful conversations start.
